Everything was great except for the sargassum. Puerto Morelos is able to keep it clean and at Desire there is no real attempt. The smell was horrible, taking away from an otherwise perfect beach vacation.

Staff, food and rooms were very good. The grounds were well kept and was overall a beautiful layout. Couple tips: they right off the bat are going to want to pitch a “members” program to you, go ahead and kill and hour listening and enjoying a good drink and then politely decline. There are no real benefits to the membership and it’s insanely expensive but you get a voucher for a couple hundred dollars to use so it’s worth it for that. The shows are fairly good for a smaller venue but get a bit repetitive, after the 3rd night we just skipped it and enjoyed the jacuzzi while it was still quiet and relaxing because after the show then it fills up with a bunch of drunk people. It’s couples only so the creep factor is low so that’s a positive. Overall it’s a nice place to go and spend a few days, if you’re looking for a party atmosphere then you might be disappointed though it was much livelier than we like but it definitely wasn’t a calm relaxed place either. From people we talked to you either love it or hate it, personally I’m in the middle. I’ll definitely go again but wouldn’t be hurt if it wasn’t for a couple years. So if you’re looking for a place to lay out in the sun next to a beautiful pool and have some well made drinks and eat some good food definitely visit. If you’re looking for all that on a budget then you might want to look elsewhere. I give it a 7 out of 10.

Paid for an upgrade to a plunge pool unit, as we have done multiple times in the past, plunge pool pump did not work, Therefore wasn’t up to temperature, the technician just added hot water twice a day, good only for one hour max, and twice from our 8 night stay in the evening we didn’t have hot water for shower.., manager Daniel not to concerned and didn’t rectify the situation…

First time staying at a nude resort and my spouse and I definitely had our reservations about it but we found ourselves feeling non judged, welcomed, free to be ourselves and within a few hours we were naked as well. It was surprisingly comfortable. Who knew it just felt natural. No one gawking or being disrespectful. It is a couples only resort so singles cannot stay here. It’s a very small resort, so it’s intimate and easy to meet others or be on your own if you want to just connect with your partner. They have 2 restaurants and 1 buffet. We found ourselves eating 4 times at the Japanese restaurant and trying something different each time. The dinner we had at Pearl was French night and it was good. We never ate at the buffet for dinner nor did we order room service. At the end of our trip we found ourselves reconnected and rejuvenated. We will go back and instead of staying 7 days will probably do 5 but it’s well worth it for us. Property is well kept. The spa is awesome. The only negative we found was the mattress is like a block of concrete. The second night they added a foam topper which helped but still hard and the bed sheets are scratchy.

The reservations at restaurants and Bali sun beds for Stay and Play Members only ( SPM) When we arrived we were informed reservations for the restaurants were not required. Marked on my resort map by reception. I was very displeased to find out as a Non- SPM, it was not the case of reservation not being required, but Non-SPM's were not allowed to make reservations. As they closed the individual restaurants on two evenings . The Pearl one night for SPMs. The Aphrodite on the Friday night for another non disclosed function. The Aphrodite is the largest restaurant , so this means the rest of the resorts guests were required to wait for availability at the Sushi Restaurant (in the rain) or the Pearl an hour wait (under cover) as SPM's with reservations were welcomed. As Non-SPM's, we were were offered the last two sun loungers available, this is at 7am in the morning . When we asked about the Bali Beds, as we were not SPM's, the beds not available to us. Now, we will never be members of any single resort chain. We enjoy travelling to many destinations to much. However, if policy excludes guests from using or booking amenities, this policy, should be included on your website or passed on to your Booking Partners. This was not the case! Positives, everything else, staff are wonderful, food is excellent , quiet areas outstanding. Spa very professional . Innovative, elegant dining experiences with a MXN flair. Guests responded by aslo dressing to the 9's

Quiet resort with lots of polite attentive staff. Why 4 stars and not 5? 1) food in the upscale restaurants was very good but buffet was just ok. Selction was limited as were dining times. There was a coffee shop but it was closed more than it was open. 2) the shower was nearly impossible to get a steady temperature. Just when you think you have it, your getting boiled then comfortable then cool. 3) ac worked great...except the only way to get it to stop cooling was to turn it off. Then it would warm up and you had to turn it back on. Correct these things and leave the pool bar open past 5pm. And its 5 stars.

Everything was beautiful and amazing. Checkin was very friendly and fast. Didn’t get early checkin but did checkin right on time. Food was plentiful and good but I’m a very basic eater and most foods were fancy and complicated. My wife loved it but I couldn’t eat a lot due to cheese and seafood restrictions. Property was beautiful. Service throughout outside of checkin was good not great. Service wasn’t bad at all but not overly friendly like its sister resort. This could also be due to it being larger and busier. Overall very happy with our stay and would love to go back.

The property contained all the things necessary for a relaxing vacation. The beach had a lot of sea weed that should have been cleaned up and removed from the beach area on a daily basis. The toilet leaked in my room. I notified housekeeping multiple times. It was never repaired. The floor in the toilet room stayed wet with water from the leaking toilet or leaking tub. I could not tell which device the water was coming from.
