Stayed in room 1535. The good thing about the room, was that it was requested high floor and quiet. Cleanliness in the toilet was impeccable, with minimum water stains and fresh towels and amenities laid out.
However, I was quite disappointing upon arrival to find the room slightly damp. The carpet was damped to the touch, it is worse by the table at the bay window. The bedsheets wasn't as dry and crisp, and there was a musty smell in the air.
The aircon had a low groan throughout the night. There was a missing bulb socket at the bay window and the cabinets all had worned edges.
The complimentary water bottle had a light layer of dust which I assumed had been standing there for a while, which I wouldn't dare to consume.
The room desperately needed a dehumidifier and also a regular schedule of cleaning (even when there is no occupancy).
I was only there for a night to reactivate Hotel.com account (because Hotel.com wouldn't give me a waiver since their acct had issues from dec last year and I couldn't book my May 2024 trip hotels, and my account became stagnant) but other than the prime location (just next to Chijmes and CityHall mrt station), I doubt I will revisit the hotel again.
