Northumberland is one of the largest counties in North East England, located on the Anglo-Scottish border. Hadrian’s Wall is a significant landmark in Northumberland – the 73-mile-long fortification with ancient turrets, forts and towers dates back to AD 122. Medieval castles dotting the county also make for beautiful photos and serve to remind us that battles and sieges were part of Britain’s rather turbulent past.

Miles of hiking trails cut through deep valleys and rugged moorland, most of which are part of the Northumberland National Park. Summer is a great time to enjoy over 30 miles of beaches and seaside towns along the Northumberland Coast.
