My partner and I decided for a holiday week in Menorca, between August 27th and September 2nd, 2017. We think we chose the nicest part of the island (in our opinion) which is Santo Tomas.
The place is characterized by a beautiful sand beach, a little wild and natural and by the fact that there aren't huge hotels in the area but smaller ones and villas, which appear better integrated with the territory. The water is blue and crystal clear and the beach has some mild hills on the back with low pine trees and bushes, where you can take a nice walk.
There is a small part of the beach with amenities such as parsol umbrellas and beach chairs. The rest is free.
The Sol Beach House hotel is located directly on the sea, therefore you can reach on foot in about 2 min the beach with amenities, situated on the right, while you need to walk for about 10/15 min to reach the adults only beach (mainly for naturists).
The reception area is wide and nicely arranged, with a big front desk and at least 2 to 4 receptionists. Restaurant with in and outside options, a beautiful pool, gym and a nice bar. The room (standard) was large, same as the bathroom, clean and with a nice balcony. The only negative was the bed, very very hard and with very thin pillows, which we had to replace. The second improvement needed is the food, which is a buffet type. Breakfast was ok but dinner not so much. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and available, nice live music every night.
