Customer's right abuse
We did never stay at Alenos Hotel:
We have booked a room on the day of our arrival and we called the hotel to inform it about our arrival time.
Money was immediately taken from the credit card but shortly after we received a call by a third person, who was neither from the hotel nor from Hotels.com, who said he was acting on behalf of a group of hotels in Alacati and informed us that the hotel was already booked and offered a room in another hotel, Kordelya Alacati, for the money we had already paid to Hotels.com.
We called again Alenos Hotel and got confirmation that it was already overbooked.
Even though the proposed hotel didn't have good comments, we accepted the offer because it was late, money was already taken and the person who made the offer persuaded us that we would get even a better accommodation than the original one.
Unfortunately that was not true. The hotel did not meet an acceptable level of cleanliness, the bathroom was extremely dirty and not in proper function. We realized later that for the price we paid we could have stayed in a much much better place. Since no booking was done through Hotels.com for Kordelya Alacati, we cannot publish a comment for it but we have photo/video evidence available.
We are also very disappointed that Alenos Hotel did never call us to apologize for the inconvenience and offer the cancellation of the payment.
