The room was okay for 1 night. The bed was comfy, pillows not great.
It was clean and the bathroom has been fairly recently updated but the workmanship is very poor.
We had a broken floor tile which is potentially dangerous and we did inform the reception about it, and he was aware. But something should be done about it, even if taped over.
Being asked for ID when you arrive is so outdated and £1 on an actual card deposit in case we trash our room, I found unreal.
I've stayed at some high class hotels over the years and never been asked for any of this.
I'd travelled 1 1/2 hours to get to Liverpool and he expected me to travel a 3hr round trip to go home and get a physical card, otherwise I couldn't stay in the room.
I'm 53 years young and a business owner, so I don't see myself as someone who stays in a hotel just to trash the room.
He was no help what so ever and if it hadn't have been for some helpful ladies staying there and paying the £50 deposit, we'd have had no where to stay.
The other issue we have is the noise opposite our room.
We were in room 107 and a nightclub was the other side ot the road, which didn't stop playing extremely loud music until 2am.
This was very annoying.
So, I have to say I won't be staying in this hotel again.
