Our hotel stay was comfortable and in a great location, very close to the ski slopes. The room itself was well-equipped and comfortable, which we appreciated.
However, for the price we paid, we were surprised by the level of self-service required. Guests are expected to strip and bag their own linens, wash dishes, and take out the trash. There is no mid-stay housekeeping, and this should be made very clear to guests before booking, as it does not align with the cost of the room or typical expectations.
The front desk staff was polite but not particularly welcoming or helpful beyond answering basic questions. We did not use the pool because it is located in a separate building, and walking back in 20-degree weather was not appealing. This detail would be helpful to include in the room or property description, as we specifically booked hoping to use the pool and were unaware it required an outdoor walk.
Additionally, after a major snowstorm, the parking lot was not plowed for two days and remained slushy and icy, making it unsafe to walk. The shuttle service to the mountain was also unpredictable. While a shuttle is advertised, it takes a lunch break from 11:30–12:30, and after 11:00 a.m. it was difficult to know whether a shuttle would arrive or had already stopped running.
Overall, the room itself was comfortable and the location was excellent, but the lack of services, unclear expectations, and logistical issues do not justify the price.
