Not a great stay
The room we got was a "dependance", and it was on another street (69 Helshovenstraat), outside the actual hotel grounds. When we arrived the receptionist basically asked for the payment the moment we stepped in, gave us the key and told us where the room was, and went to the kitchen – no credit card receipt or invoice and no information about breakfast times. We waited for him to come back and asked again for the receipt and got it.
The room was decent, with a large bathroom and a comfortable memory foam bed and a warm duvet. Cleanliness was average. The heating wasn't working (there were 9-10 degrees Celsius outside and the windows had been kept open) and at 10 pm and after a 500 km trip we didn't feel like going back the main building to report the problem and wait for it to be solved. The hairdryer didn't work either.
Breakfast was good, though it is served starting from 8.30 am – too late I think. The woman at the bar/reception didn’t seem to speak any English, so we couldn't tell her about the problems with our room. She didn't ask either. Overall it wasn't the worst experience ever, but we would never go back. For the price we paid, both the room and the service were not good value, so we don't recommend this accommodation to other travelers.
