The hotel is conveniently located right next to shopping friendly and lively Via Toledo, as well as 5 minutes away from Naples central railway station, by taxi (approx. 20 Euros). On entering the hotel I stated my name adding I had a reservation, however was not told “Welcome”, not a great first impression. I was assigned room 201: nicely sized and clean, with a not particularly nice view over the inner court (regular buildings). The air conditioning / ventilation was somewhat noisy, so I turned it off right away (this could be a problem during the summer season). The bedding includes bedspreads, which I am not keen on as these don’t get changed/washed after every guest. The bathroom, internal, was nicely appointed and clean. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Then I quickly realized that WiFi was extremely slow, actually not working. I reported to reception and was told that everything was in good order. Later on I complained again and was moved to a room on the first floor, room 104. Again a nice room, overlooking Via dei Fiorentini (better). But WiFi was still not working. Two days later the WiFi issue remained unsolved, despite various attempts (were they?) by the reception staff. I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so I cannot comment on it. One of the receptionists (Maria) graciously comp’d the water I had taken from the minibar: nice gesture. Overall the hotel is above OK, but WiFi is important to me, so despite its potential regrettably I cannot recommend it.
