Not great
We booked the Ambrosia Suite which looked lovely from the photos online. We did not realize that the room is located in a very old house across the street from the main property. Not a huge problem, but somewhat inconvenient. The bigger issue was the room itself; it very obviously should have been updated several years ago. The bathroom was very tiny and all of the fixtures were rusted and/or covered with a thick accumulation of limescale. The two mini split air conditioning units were not working and instead there were two window units. Both were very loud. One was inches away from the head of the bed, rendering it essentially unusable. The designated deck space for the room next door was just outside the bedroom window; we could clearly hear coughing, conversations, and children running and yelling at all times. We could also hear everything happening in the room above us. Our deck space could have used updated furniture. It was located just steps away from the outdoor spa which looked lovely but was not operational during our stay. The area was cordoned off with yellow caution tape. The pool area across the street at the main property was well-maintained and beautifully landscaped. The rooms in this part of the property appeared to be updated. This is our 5th trip to Key West and by far the worst hotel we have stayed at. We won’t be back but if you do stay I would avoid any room that’s in the building across the street.
