First thing you should know is that this resort is a time share, a detail I only discovered during check-in after booking through Travelocity.com. I advise against engaging in the time share option, even if tempted by a deal. While the lobby was lackluster compared to other resorts I've visited, the junior suite was acceptable, albeit lacking a microwave. Opting for an all-inclusive package is essential. The dining experience was abysmal, requiring reservations for every restaurant except the God-awful buffet. Breakfast was passable but limited. Staff were generally pleasant, except regarding time share matters. Room service operating 24/7 was a positive, but overall quality of food was lacking, including desserts. I unequivocally would not return. Additionally, the resort's location offered little in terms of nearby activities, situated in a somewhat unsafe-looking city area with constant traffic and sirens. Unlike most resorts, there was a lack of entertainment options, and restaurant were not all open at the same time, so you couldn't even try all of them. The necessity to sign receipts for all-inclusive services defied logic. If you have a choice do not choose Villa Del Palmar.
