Hotel is in a great location, close to Grand Central, tons of restaurants, walking distance to Times Square, Broadway theaters and more.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, including valets, front desk and housekeeping. Our room was on 2nd floor with no view but we were ok because we spent very little time there, and was able to take the stairs instead of waiting for very slow elevators. Furniture was well-worn and scuffed, including bathroom vanity, and could use some updating. The only issue was very loud construction going on during one day we came back to the room for a nap, we weren’t forewarned about it but it was quiet the rest of the time.
New restaurant on rooftop, Vintage Green, is absolutely beautiful with speciality drinks and an approachable menu that is a little, but not too pretentious. Downstairs was another restaurant we didn’t try but the menu looked great.
Would definitely recommend this property. And if you can get it for <$300 a night, it’s a definite steal.
