Was very nice but could have more food selections. And more things to do on the property.

8/10 Very good

Staff is great and hard working

We stood here for our Anniversary and it was wonderful. It is very close to the friday night street parties, 10 min taxi drive away maybe less. The mall and restaurants are literally right outside the hotel. Everyone was so kind and treated us like family

The beach is superb. The resort is old and plans are there for it to be demolished next year to build a new resort. Food was overall good but the staff in the buffet was not friendly and provided very poor service.

The hotel was situated in a fabulous position and had potential. The rooms whilst clean were tired and needed upgrades although it could be seen that some efforts had been made they were poorly done . The pool area was clean and tidy but not enough umbrellas . And considering it was on the beachfront there was no attendance or umbrellas. The food was adequate ! The drinks plentiful.

Property has a great beach and friendly cats, the staff is super lazy and makes you feel like you owe them money and they are doing you a favor servicing you. Ocean view room is only partial view and lady at reception refused to change. Manager is never available. Food is very basic.

A small, beautiful, well kept resort. Food was very good quality but extremely limited choices. Very few food choices maybe 5 dinner options at the whole buffet and food ran out quickly. The hours for dining are also limited. But the food they did have tasted very good. A la cart was a waste of an evening. Waited almost 2 hours for our meals. The strawberry daiquiris were delicious but the staffing at the pool bar was terrible. Long waits. Sometimes only 1 bar tender in the afternoon. They tried their best but couldn’t keep up with demand. The evenings were underwhelming. Most nights there was a live musician until 9:30. There was one fun night with a fire dancing group. After 9:30 there is absolutely nothing to do on the resort. The resort is extremely quiet and the majority of guests were above 70 years old. The resort has a lot of potential but is far from meeting it. The price is very high for what you get. We will definitely not be visiting this resort again.

This was unfortunately a let down. I realize that it was recently re-opened and there may be some time needed for staff to get up to par. However, the food selection was very limited and was a huge disappointment in the all inclusive aspect. Non-buffet selections had VERY small portions, and service took forever. Forget being checked on for drink refills either. Most of the staff were friendly. One problem for me though, the food service was so bad that we did not want to tip, even though it wasn't required for all inclusive, we would have gladly left a few dollars here and there. But only tipped once or twice based on that, and we felt that the staff was less friendly over time and was afraid it may have to do with tipping. Which, again would have been no problem if we had better experiences with the food itself and the food service. Also, if you have any questions about things like laundry, the room safe, anything that the front desk should know, be ready for blank stares by pretty much everyone. Even though most were friendly, they had no answers for most things. Pool was nice, but wasn't much of anything else other than the beach to do. The massage service was like 3 times more expensive than if you went right down the street. So, it was a pretty basic stay. The rooms were clean, no problems with that sort of thing. I'd bring your own soap/shampoo though, theirs was very cheap. It was in an ok location shopping wise and all that. Pay more for better.

2/10 Poor

I like the convenience of walking from resort to restaurants. House keeping was friendly. Those are the ONLY positive things about this resort!! Negatives are the following: Crystal the desk attendant was extremely rude and acted like it was an inconvenience every time you asked her a question. One example was she gave us an adapter snd I could not plug in my phone so I took it to her to see what the issue was. I did not use enough force. It was hard to push. She took it snd pushed it in and just walked away ! I tried to say thanks but she ignored me. I asked for towels a and face cloths. I NEVER got them! At checkout , she could not find our paperwork! We waited for ever, she walked away with no comment. Finally I returned and she said I needed my receipt for the adapter. I did not have it. She said with it I would not get my deposit! I spoke to a gentleman at the desk and told him everything I experienced. He contacted the manager and she respectfully took down my information. The bar was very slow because they only had one area open at a time. They had a bucket of water they put the plastic drinks in to wash. Disgusting ! Pool was clean, but dangerous aground the rim to enter. Most chairs were broken not enough chairs around pool or beach area. Often, no beach towels were available . Staff rude, neglected customers in dining area. Most mornings I had to go without coffee snd had to search for silverware and napkins. Expired milk! September dates in November!

It gave what I expected. Great location. Great staff. Food was bland and geared toward British tourists. But no problem; They kept plenty of hot sauce nearby. Loved the bartenders. Hopefully this place will still be reasonably priced after they rebuild.

Because the hotel is due to close in the next week, it is my opinion that the staff have no interest in the service.

a very special experience, the views, the sunsets, the ambiance all very special, an escape !

8/10 Very good

Had a great time, the people were nice. It seemed that sometimes things closed early like the pool and water sport rentals, but I count that as my own bad luck. Still, I wish they would stick to schedules and promises. They send their towels out for cleaning service, so they are constantly out of beach towels, sometimes even bath towels in the rooms. So, just like with overhead bins in planes there and back, get there early to claim them. Keep your beach towels for a day or three and get them early in the morning. The all-inclusive was great, drinks and food almost all waking hours, it was surprisingly tasty and with a variety. Stay away from that orange sauce they always have at the buffet, it is so hot it could kill some people that don't like spicy food!

the long wait to be seated for dining, not a lot of variety to choose from the staff were very horrible with attitude from the front desk right through to waiting staff

2/10 Poor

The staff in that so called hotel is terrible. Uneducated, noisy, unprofessional, rude, e.t.c. We were forced to pay for our laundry. Where in the world guests have to pay for laundry??? We asked the front desk personnel if the hotel could do our laundry on Friday because we were leaving on Sunday and they told us the clothes will be cleaned on Saturday morning, but noooooo, they brought us our clothes back on Sunday...a few hours before our departure. The so called hotel has a big pack of stray cats all over the place. The cats have not received any veterinarian services in their entire life. Non of them are neutered and they have lice. The noisy is intolerable. They play loud music at any time. The housekeepers don't clean properly. They cut the water supply at times. The service in the "restaurant" is chaotic and slow. They seem to be understaffed and the employees they have lack of any hospitality skills. In addition to all of that, they didn't give us the room we paid for. Instead they gave us a room with the balcony door that didn't close. I do NOT recommend that "hotel" to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at starfish. A few things to consider if you plan on booking: 1. This truly is a 3 star resort. 2. The rooms and common areas were kept clean 3. The rooms need updating, they are very plain. Our room had a slider with a walkout patio about 20ft from the beach. 4. Bars dont have great options and can be slow to serve. They are also open at odd times. 5. Breakfast was fine, but the food generally wasnt great. We ate out most meals. 6. The location is great. Walking distance to many restaurants and the beach is beautiful. Overall, it was a good experience, but if your looking for a "sandals" type hotel, this isnt it. We would stay again, if there was an option for just the room or a euro meal plan.

Not worth it

This hotel was not as advertised, not very clean, 90% of the umbrellas and lawn/beach chairs were broken. Not enough to start with. The food was disgusting. The bar where you can "see the sunset' is always closed. Staff not very friendly. On top of it, it is an hour and a half from the airport, not worth going to this hotel, and it is not that cheap. Live and learn.

8/10 Very good

The property is beautiful and spacious, but behind the property there are heaps of discarded, burnt debris that can be seen from the room corridor. Not a pretty sight. I loved the staff. They are exceptional. The food is excellent also.
