Ultra professional and warm welcome by Liz at check-in, at a much earlier time than I had anticipated. Liz made it a smooth and easy-breezy arrival regardless, which was much appreciated having been up since 3am to catch my flight.
The first room I was assigned was right by the elevator, causing an ongoing rumbling noise from its structure to be heard into the room. I mentioned to Liz who immediately and very kindly offered to move me to a quieter side of the building, which was perfect.
Restaurant being adjacent was convenient.
Location in a safe area of downtown/Financial district, 2 blocks away from Bart, and on a Muni route (Bus 1) was also a huge plus.
The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating to ‘comfort’ is that I would’ve needed to be able to open the window for fresh air at some point, but the windows seemed sealed shut and cannot be open, which felt a bit claustrophobic. Being able to open it up just a crack would make a difference.
The second reason is that the TV was mounted to the side of the bed and not in front of it, which is not the most convenient/enjoyable.
Lastly, walls are quite thin. I was able to hear and follow an entire conversation from the gentleman next-door who was on the phone. Luckily the hotel was very quiet when I was there so it wasn’t a problem at night, but I’m guessing it can be, depending on the crowd that stays next to you at any other given time.
I was there on a business-related trip and would gladly return.
