We had mixed feelings about our stay in the downstairs double room...
The room was very cosy and clean, with good facilities including a kettle, microwave, fridge and toaster.
It looks exactly like it does in the photos.
Check-in was easy as there's a key box outside the room.
The room is directly connected to the main house via a locked door that is quite thin. It was mostly quiet but don't expect complete peace and quiet all the time (especially because of the dogs mentioned below).
We weren't aware until we arrived that the owners have two large dogs in the main house. My partner is afraid of dogs so it was scary for her the few times they barked and were running around the house. They also came into the yard as we were leaving in the morning and barked at us a few times, with the owners nowhere to be seen to tell them.
The drainage for the wet room is poor so we had to put a towel down afterwards to soak up some water.. not ideal if you'd be staying more than one night.. maybe a squeegee would help so the floor could be mopped a little.
Overall it's a nice little place but don't think we'd go back.
