Second visit at Paramount. First stay was in January of this year. The same elevator that was out of service then, is still out of service. There are only four, (well, three) small elevators servicing 19 floors. Many times we would wait for an elevator for five minutes before getting on. Our room was fine - standard, could be updated. Further, our room did not have working AC - I alerted the front desk and they said they would take a look. When we arrived, it was still not working. I went back down to the desk and they said they sent someone up and it wasn't fixable. I wasn't alerted to any of this prior to my second ask. They asked if I wanted to change my room, but we were on our way out to a Broadway show at the time. I decided to skip swapping the room as we checked out the next morning. They refunded my service charge. I wish they followed up with me about my request because we could have moved our room earlier in the day when we arrived back for a rest. Front desk staff was very nice, but communication is an issue. They have my phone number and e-mail to have followed up. Between the elevbator and AC issues, I don't think we will be returning to Paramount. Unfortunate, because it's a great location. The hotel could also use a refresh and upgrade.
