The attractions here include the Takabisha (extremely steep roller coaster), Eejanaika (4D hypercoaster), and Fujiyama (king of coasters).     Many of the attractions feature popular characters, and there are family-oriented rides that even small children can enjoy.     Shining Field is a top spot for outdoor activities such as rafting on the Fuji River, one of the 3 fastest rapids in Japan. Beginners and even non-swimmers, including children, can enjoy rafting here. Bring your bathing suit, towels, and waterproof shoes.

    Primary school students aged 8 and older can try an inflatable kayak called Ducky, while secondary school students and above can try tubing on a large float. There are even barbecue facilities that you can pay to use, making for a perfect day out.

    From the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway you can enjoy incredible views of Mt. Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi, and the lakeside area below you. At the observatory, there’s also a teahouse designed with the motif of the old tale Kachikachi Yama (Click-Clack Mountain in English), where you can take a break with kushi dango (skewered dumplings) and ice cream.

    Also check out the hiking trails in the surrounding area if you want to explore and see Mt. Fuji from every angle. Be sure to also visit the Scenic Panoramic Corridor walkway, which looks out onto Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi.

    The Kiseki Museum of World Stones is a museum that displays slightly unusual stones. The exhibition rooms have extensive collections, including fossils, gemstones, and stones that glow in the dark. There’s also an exhibition featuring children’s author and stone enthusiast Kenji Miyazawa.

    Probably the most exciting attraction for younger visitors will be the Gemstone House, which offers a treasure hunting experience. If you find small gemstones hidden in the pebbles within a 30-minute time limit, you can take them home with you. Get ready to fill your boots!
