    Cinestar Metropolis is an impressive movie theater occupying a historic building. Located just 1 block from the Eschenheimer Tor U-bahn station, it has 12 screens and accommodates around 3,500 people, making it a comfortable and convenient place to enjoy a movie in Frankfurt.

    If you’re planning to catch an English movie, look for the British flag and/or “original version” when selecting your ticket and showtime. While the theater recommends that you buy and print tickets ahead of time, you can download your tickets as a PDF and scan your phone at the theater. Alternately, you can just buy tickets at the box office.

    The Alte Oper Frankfurt is a stunning, 19th-century opera house near Rothschildpark. It’s one of Frankfurt’s most popular tourist destinations and after-dinner attractions. You can find the venue right next to the Alte Oper U-bahn station.

    The opera house has multiple auditoriums, all of which are decked out in Renaissance architecture. Grosser Saal is the largest hall, with 2,500 seats, while Mozart-Saal is a more intimate room that accommodates around 700 people. Opernplatz (Opera Square) is a great spot for taking photos of the Alte Oper Frankfurt.

    The English Theater Frankfurt is a beautiful performing arts venue with over 300 seats and a year-round schedule of shows. It’s located in the Bahnhofsviertel neighbourhood, right next to the Schauspiel and Oper Frankfurt.   

    The theatre's calendar is usually filled with a variety of shows, ranging from plays and comedies to musicals and well-known dramas. As the name implies, all shows are performed in English. If you get there early for your show or want to hang out afterward, stop by the onsite James Bar for a drink with your fellow theatregoers.

    Batschkapp is a modern music venue and club in the Seckbach neighbourhood, around 7 km northeast of central Frankfurt. This concert venue is known for hosting many amazing musicians and bands. It’s usually busy on weekends, during vacations and summer months.

    While tickets can be purchased at the door, it’s a cash-only venue so you might want to purchase tickets online. The Gwinnerstrasse U-bahn station is just 500 meters southeast of Batschkapp. Those who get there by automobile can find plenty of street parking and a garage nearby the venue.
