“I booked a small single room which was perrfectly adequate for my needs. The wifi was challenging, but the reception worked on it and got it to work for me. Very friendly and helpful staff, the food was good, and they were open to fix us something not on the menu. Its located off the main road outside of the town center, but is still a walkable distance from the business centers.

Alleen cashbetalingen zonder bonnetje, geen WiFi, geen warm water, smerige badkamer, geen restaurant beschikbaar, beveiliging gaat nog voor 18:00 uur naar huis en laat de poort wijd open. Staat niet juist op de kaart aangegeven. Gaten in muskietennet. Enige goede punt is een koelkast beneden met koud bier bij gebrek aan maaltijd. Ongelofelijk dat dit hotel nog bestaat. ”

“I had a great time at Virunga Homestay, I initially only booked for a few nights but then stayed over a week. Francis is a very considerate, helpful, and accommodating host. The place is very clean, spacious and quiet. The homestay has good wifi and warm showers and the breakfast was wonderful, I highly recommend it. I will definitely come back. ”

“We were only here for one night, but Frances was a great host. The room as clean and comfortable, and he provided a good breakfast. We opted not to go to Volcanoes National Park, but Frances provided us with a great guide, who took us to Twin Lakes. On that trip we met MANY wonderful Rwandans out in the countryside, and saw beautiful scenery. The next morning our guide, Janvier, took us to the park where the baby gorilla naming ceremony is held, then out into the countryside again. FANTASTIC!”
