All staff I encountered, especially the breakfast employees, were so helpful, kind thoughtful and friendly. Room was plenty big enough even with my dogs bed. Shower was efficient and so the hotel was quiet at night. Only gripe - tea bags were not what I’m used to and not great. Otherwise ideal stay. Great vfm too. ”

“This place is outstanding. It’s a lovely location in a quiet village a few minutes walk away to the shop and pub and within minutes your in the countryside exploring the WWII history on offer.
It’s very quiet and safe and free parking right outside the door. The cottage is very nice and is a mixture of modern bits mixed with old but has a very well stocked kitchen, a large comfy living area, a down stairs bathroom and toilet and two upstairs bedrooms. I will definitely be back.”

“Our stay was a last minute decision and we were luckily to get a room for too nights. We also had our little dog with us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts was lovey and had a good choice. They even gave our dog a sausage, which he enjoyed.
The room was small but clean and tidy. The only draw back is that the room was on the top floor, with a lot of stairs to climb. It seemed extra long in the night when the god needed to go to the toilet. But we managed and it was fine.”

The only problem is that room isolation is not very good so we could hear noises from the outside and inside the property late at night. Would recommend irrespective of it. ”

“Shepherds hut was lovely… and the included breakfast items were most welcome. Lovely and secluded however the patio needed some attention, all the plants in the pots around the site were dead and there was a disused hot tub which we had to look at rather than use! The hut itself was in good nick although the toilet flush and mirror in the bathroom need some attention ”
