“The room pretty much ticked all the boxes for me. everything in very good condition, well maintained, very clean room and bathroom. Very reasonably priced. Bath/shower, small touches like biscuit with the tea/coffee kit, and real soap, no nasty squirty dispensers.
It is over a pub, so some conversations audible until 11pm, but not to a problem level, and no restaurant, but plenty of food options within easy walking distance. Pub looked fine as well.”

Check in was a breeze with friendly owners on the front desk to show me around the place and to my room.
Breakfast (as others have said) was fab with really nice quality food and really tasty coffee but the hot food is cooked to order so don't expect to walk in and just eat!
The bedroom was good, nice and clean with a comfy bed. My only downside would be that it could do with better blackout curtains as I was awake before the...

The staff were lovely, warm, friendly, very kind & obliging, the room had all the facilities you needed, was very clean, quiet and had fabulous views. The food in the restaurant was very good & offered a nice selection. The continental breakfast was perfect (muesli, granola, mixed berries, yoghurt etc - all my favourite things) & they even provided oatmilk. Above all that it was exceptional value, so we’ll definitely come again...

Seriously the best lime and soda :), something so simple and yet… I have an adventurous palate, so was delighted to try a new taste sensation in the Brazilian cheese bread. The Bakewell dessert did not disappoint, was beyond expectation and ample for two spoons!

Only potential problem is that it can be noisy in the main building. It’s a very old house and the floors creak. We had someone above us who woke at 5am and chose to pace back and forth for the next few hours. This was very annoying so you may want to consider this before booking a room in the main house. ”
