I arrived around 9:30pm, not sure why but my gps took the long way - I drove down from Cleveland, OH. Since I had prepaid for the room, I didn’t feel it was necessary to contact the property.
When I arrived, there was a note on the door that gave a phone number to call, indicating they were cleaning rooms. The woman said the owner gave my room away because I was a “no show” because “most people check in around 2pm.” When I said that I had already paid for the room, she quickly said she would refund me, and I asked where I was supposed to find a hotel in the middle of no where at 10pm.
She then said she would clean a room for me to use but it would take around 30 minutes. I really needed a bathroom and she said there was nothing to use because the room was dirty and the office didn’t have a public bathroom.
The room had no lamp, just an overhead light plus the light over sink & bathroom. The sink & bathtub were either dirty or very stained.
The towels and bedding were clean and the bed & pillows were comfortable, although two pillows had no pillow cases on them. The refrigerator worked.
