Check-in was easy. The several of the front desk staff were fluent in English. The room was nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable. However, the air conditioning was not working. The room was 25C when I arrived and within an hour, it had risen to 27C. I complained about it twice and after an hour, a technician came and poked the vent with a screw driver. He gave me a big smile and thumbs up, then left. After an hour, the temperature was still at 27. I complained a third time before I went out for dinner. When I returned late, I found that nothing had been done. I waited until morning and complained once more. The front desk staff tried changing rooms (finally), but the air conditioning in the new room also did not work. A technician came to the room and explained that it was set between 22 and 24C. So, according to him, everything was working fine, and he refused to do anything. This was odd since my first room was at 27 and this second room was at 25. At this point, I asked for my reservation to be cancelled and my money to be returned. The services that I had paid for were not being provided. Another guest spoke to me and said that the air conditioning in this hotel is very poor.
