The grounds and property of the resort are magnificent. It's beautiful everywhere you look.
The rooms are outdated and badly need renovation. We also had a few creepy crawler bugs--most of which we were not familiar with, get into the room. It wasn't surprising because there is gap all around the door to the room for them to enter. One of the walls in the bedroom was peeling from water damage and looks like it had been that way for quite some time.
The pools are very nice, but there are not enough lounge chairs and can get very crowded and loud because there are a lot of families with children staying there. It's best to go early in the morning if you prefer a little quiet.
The Spa is nice and the massage room, while cool with a fan, had doors open to a small private deck and the fresh air breeze coming in was lovely.
The breakfast is ok, but it gets pretty old after seven days. It's pretty much the same every day with little variety throughout the week.
However, it's a great location--easy to get into town with a car or Uber, and it's a very good value, which makes it possible for so many families to stay there. The best part of the stay was the wonderful staff. They were very responsive and attentive and did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We weren't thrilled when we first arrived. But we were sad to leave when it came time to go.
