This was my first time staying at a Freehand property, specifically in a hostel-style room. The first room/bed I was assigned to had someone else in it when I arrived.
The common spaces seemed fairly well maintained, but the shared rooms were not very clean at all. The listing said that bedding and towels were provided, but the bedding consisted of a single top sheet with a very thin/old looking blanket.
For towels, there were some random towels around the room and bathroom, but there was no clarity as to which towels were ones I could use vs. belonged to other guests of the room.
The photos of the bed spaces make it appear as though there are curtains, when in fact there is a single small curtain at the head of the bed with no curtain for the main opening.
The outlet in my bedspace had two plugs but both of them were "loose" to the point where plugs wouldn't stay in them very well.
The shower curtain was a single fabric curtain that got soaked when you showered (there was no plastic curtain to protect the fabric). The shower drain had rust on it. There were no simple amenities beyond hand soap.
Not sure when or how any of the shared room spaces get cleaned, because it didn't seem like ours was at any point.
Really no frills, which is fine if that is what you're looking for.
