We had a three night stay in this beautifully restored hotel. Our room (Roald Amundsen) was huge and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We also had a drink on the rooftop terrace one evening for a stunning sunset. The location was brilliant in the heart of the old town - out of the hustle of the tourist zones but still easily accessible on foot. Breakfast being included was a bonus, though basic and would not have been worth paying extra for if not included.

Beautiful classic decor with Smeg fridge and coffee machine etc but the coffee machine in the room cannot be used as no capsules provided. The tap in the room was noisy and the floor was dirty on the day we arrived. The hotel is along a narrow road and not easy to find parking nearby. Staff are nice bit not always at reception. Buffet breakfast is only continental - eggs are not available.

Stayed in Ambrogio Fogar. Nice room although the dimensions of 35 square metres were not the same as advertised on the website (70) and the bathroom was also not the same one as described. Would have been nicer to have a wardrobe instead of hanging clothes out in the open though. The room is very large but a lot of space is wasted. The breakfast was, quite honestly, a bit of a non-starter. Each table was given 2 croissant and 3 small pieces of bread. A big bread basket at the buffet would have been much nicer. Don't expect anything warm - no boiled eggs for instance. Someone asked if they could have one and were told that the kitchen was closed - a strange thing for a hotel! The restaurant is great, the staff are, for the most part, friendly. The room was spotless. Need more info in room, need to update website. Breakfast needs improvement - more choice and less waiting time for coffee and extra bread! Also, the rooftop bar is open to the public and is very small which means that residents have to "fight" for a table which is annoying and uncomfortable as you feel unwelcome. The hotel is beautiful but needs to be run as a hotel and not just a great restaurant with rooms. Open the kitchen at breakfast and offer more choice to your guests In short: If you're staying just for a night of so it's a lovely place - very curated with a beautiful ambience. We wouldn't recommend it for longer stays as it really isn't set up for having residents around.

Amazing hotel built into an historic building in the old town. This is not a full service hotel but the staff were welcoming and the room amazing. We had a suite with amazing vaulted ceiling. The room was ver comfortable, great aircon, shower and a roll top bath in the room. There is a small roof terrace for aperitivo, or dinner (will need to book) but it only a short walk to town with lots of amazing restaurants to choose from. Breakfast is simple but adequate. You can park close by but not at the hotel. Easy to drop baggage, check in and then go park. The hotel will give you directions. Definate recommendation for those looking for quirky and cool spot, but if your looking for full service, go elsewhere.

My friend and I loved staying at DH Lawrence! The staff was lovely, our room was HUGE and we had a delicious breakfast every morning. The location is awesome and a short walk to tons of restaurants and shop (despite being uphill, but that’s Cagliari for you). The bar on the roof is great for an apertivo and has a nice view, just make sure to have a rez.

Needed a night in Cagliari before taking the Grimaldi Lines ferry to Naples and blindly, with no reviews though a huge fan of DH Lawrence novels/poetry, booked this hotel and glad did. Super close to all area attractions, beautiful large hotel room, and a highlight of a rooftop bar with city & port views. Highly recommended and grazia melle for it all.

This hotel is a lovely new gem in the center of town. It's new amidst the old and aging surroundings. My partner and I arrived to a very welcoming staff who made the hotel feel intimate and comfortable with a touch of class. Spacious rooms, lovely terrace with a view, high end tea and coffee machines in the room are details that go a long way. I'd definitely want to stay here again. Also, thank you Filippo for being so attentive during our stay.

Un hotel nuevo, pero parece que lo abrieron con demasiada prisa sin terminar de todo las cosas. En la habitación reservada faltaba el cubo de basura, un espejo a cuerpo completo y en el techo aún está pegada en todas las bigas la cinta de carrocero.
