Luxury is not the right word…
I gave a 3 rating to the items that i can’t speak on because i ended up not using my reservation; they shouldn’t be given bad review on things that i did not experience. Based on the exterior of the building, though, I definitely do not consider them to be a “luxury” property by any stretch of the word.
I ended up not checking in because the instructions were not clear from the beginning. The confirmation email mentioned that the property MAY charge an additional $450 security and damage deposit once you complete your pre-check in form. May? It would have been nice to have seen this somewhere on the “room selection” page, not after I prepaid for a nonrefundable room.i completed the mentioned form, and the response instructed to look for an email with check in instructions. Oh, and you may receive a call from the company before check in. Again, this “may” is not an acceptable option when it involves logistics or confirming reservations. Like a lot of people, I don’t answer calls from numbers I don’t know, and my phone actually filters suspected spam calls. I did not know that they had tried to call. I reached out to inquire about the access instructions that I was supposed to have been given in the guest portal they linked me to, and that’s when I found out that there is a required 2 hour window between confirmation and checkin. Again, would have been a key piece of information to have. I then got a message “we’re closing shop. Have a good night.” All very cringey.
