Overall, the Bonnington Hotel experience was a stressful one.
After spending 9 nights with them there were few good experiences I can speak of. My wife and I are new parents with our firstborn who is only 4 months, a factor worth mentioning for a few of my complaints
The good:
The female staff that I encountered at the Bonnington were all professional, attentive, and very hospitable.
The regular staff you encounter in the hallways or in the lift, would great you with niceties
The bad:
Baby cot:
It starts with the cot that they provided, as per request when booking the room. I’m sure the linen was clean but the cot itself looked disgusting. Needless to say, my wife would have preferred the entire hotel burn before our child spend 1 second in that thing. I agree.
The room is not spacious enough to allow this cot-object to serve as an obstacle for 9 days. It’s nearly midnight. I take the cot downstairs to bring it to reception to return it and inform them we wont be needing it.
The staff were very rude to me when I returned their cot. It’s midnight, the reception lobby is deserted with skeleton crew staff only in sight. Take your cot with my thanks. Instead, they think it’s best to lecture a guest on why they should have been called to collect the cot. It’s late, we’ve had a long flight. My family is getting undressed, washed and attempting to settle the little one to bed. No, I don’t want any men entering my room to remove the cot at the middle of the night. No thanks.
