Our stay at the Antica Residenza del Corso hotel in Rome was fantastic! Recently remodeled, our "Superior Studio Suite" room was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and very spacious. We were especially impressed by the bathroom, which was just as spacious and elegantly adorned with marble.
A Great location for us to walk to famous landmarks and enjoy neighborhood eateries.
Only drawback would be the access to our "hotel", The entrance is not the usual easy access a traditional hotel offers. You have to walk through a hallway, then a courtyard then the small lift that brings you to the 4th floor then you have to take your suitcase down a set of marble stairs to reach the check-in desk. According to the very capable and friendly hotel manager, Frederica, Antica takes up a floor in a building that was built in the 17th century. Just wanted to point that out for future travelers (esp. with heavy luggage) that may not be as able bodied as my husband and myself.
