I got what I paid for
The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The guys in the afternoon were chatty while they checked me in and accommodated my request for a higher floor. Shelby upgraded my room when we returned late at night and found our air conditioner was not working.
The hotel is older and has gone through an upgrade however, the upgrade was a bit shabby. I pushed my shoes out of the way and a floorboard fell off. The curtains were not wide enough to blackout the light and there is a floodlight above each window on the upper floor so my room was still light up when the lights were off in the room. One of two elevators was out of order and the functioning elevator didn't feel taken care of. The lights didn't work above the door or on the wall panel so you didn't know which floor you were going to or moving towards.
Breakfast was blah. There were scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage along with a waffle maker, some mini muffins and bread and two cereals. The flavor wasn't great for the hot items, and I don't eat gluten, so we grabbed breakfast elsewhere.
