The most important to know: this hotel is dispersed in many old buildings around the main building. Since it is in the old part of the town they do not have enough parking spaces, you must arrive relatively early in the afternoon to have one of the "complementary" ones (2 nights street parking, one night off street parking close to our building for us). Because these are old buildings, there is no central A/C. Our room had an A/C which vented through the window and was quite noisy. The great breakfast you read about is in the main building, self-serve from a decent selection of hot and cold items offered in the "lobby extension" which is a part of the lobby, arm chairs and quite low coffee and cocktail tables. If your room is in one of the other buildings you must come to the main building (our room was in the main building) for breakfast. The location of the Great George "complex" is good, close to restaurants, shops and an easy walk to the water front.
If you set your expectations to the right level you can have a good time here, but you are definitely stepping back in time!
