Spent two nights at The Newbury this weekend due to its proximity to the theatre district (Nikki Glasser was outrageous) and had a most enjoyable stay! The service was excellent, our room and the entire building was clean, appealing and comfortable. Had drinks both Friday and Saturday nights at The Street Bar - ground level looking out at the Public Garden - quaint but lively and eclectic. The bar is the place to be for everyone. A lot of young, casually well-dressed guests mixed in with middle-aged couples like us.
One morning we had breakfast at their signature rooftop restaurant - Contessa. If you want a wonderful view of Boston and dine in a classy setting, head up to the 17th floor and embrace the amazing meal and ambiance. We look forward to going again when it's a little less cold, but didn't stop us from walking to dinner in the Back Bay closer to Prudential Center, watch the snowboarders at the Red Bull Heavy Metal snowboarding contest at Government Center and having a snack at Quincy Market. Boston is a walkable city and The Newbury is in the square middle of it all.
