Hotel curato, british style, bello anche l ' esterno dell'edificio. Nel ristorante buono il menù ma abbiamo atteso un po'.camera comoda e pulita, colazione ricca e varia. Purtroppo di notte si è attivato l allarme antincendio per un guasto tecnico e siamo stati svegliati ,sono arrivati immediatamente i vigili del fuoco, ma.. no fire inside

We was not happy with the room rhey give us the wrong one first then given us the right one they did not refresh it one we did not thing it was the usual standard of McDonald's hotels ,we had no cold water for above hour on the first night

Perfect
Only stayed 1 night, but Chester is a beautiful City, hotel staff superb and extremely helpful, location was ideal, highly recommend, yes rooms are maybe a little dated but can't fault the place.

1 night in Chester
Arrived 18/01/25 and check in was good The room 204 looked good at first glance with good clean bedding. We found a lip gloss capsule in the floor but don’t know if it was previous occupant or the cleaners. Just handed it to reception The bathroom requires updating as patches of damp mould was present The window blind pull chain was broken so couldn’t shower with building windows opposite As we was only there 1 night we didn’t report it Overall the room was ok it’s just a shame attention to the minor issues isn’t automatically done The buffet breakfast was a disaster even though a time slot of 9.30 was given to us After finding a clean table food was minimal or none left Yoghurts eggs some cereal’s mushrooms and milk was empty with other food only having 1 portion Both coffee and hot water pots had ran out We approached staff who said ok and bits of food arrived in bits and bats Other people started queuing at 9.45 but no tables were cleared and obviously limited food available Some of them walked out complaining at reception We also went to reception and was told it had been reported to catering with somewhat of a tiny apology from them Overall the stay was not a disaster it’s a shame breakfast wasn’t acceptable and can only hope that morning was a one off as catering staff was trying their best but getting nowhere

Great location, lovely staff, good value
For the price we paid we were very surprised to get such luxury. Check-in was slow but the staff member explained she was the only member of staff in and she was clearly very busy as well as incredibly polite and kind. The room was large and comfortable, although it was advertised as a King bed, it was two singles pushed together and the gap in the middle made it less comfortable. The location was great as it is walkable to basically everytjing we wanted to do around Chester. The only downside was the parking was a bit of a walk away and expensive but the value of the hotel was enough to negate that. Breakfast was lovely, buffet style with hot food to order. Id have liked better hot choice as it was all or nothing and we werent even asked how we wluld like pur eggs. They were fried well but not our preferences.

Enjoyable stay.
Suite was good size, but was very warm despite having windows being open (-3 outside) radiators weren’t on so just the general temperature of the room. Bed sank into the middle but was comfortable on the whole. Room decor was fine, if not a little tired could probably do with modernising. Minor blemishes around the room were noticeable, caps on taps missing, cracked plug sockets etc. On the whole good value, but certainly not pristine. Would stay again, but unlikely to pay more.

Xmas Break with Partner..Ok..ish
Stayed with my other half for a 2 night Xmas break, positives was location to the city centre, good sized room, efficient check-in process and breakfast (£12 each), good shower, iron and ironing board, negatives..bar only open on the Saturday night, room needs some tlc (209), towel rail didn’t work, dust in many areas of the room, would be a 2nd choice if other hotels we stay at are fully booked (Abode, Crowne Plaza).

Lovely old hotel in fantadtic location. Romm was clean and comfortable, huge bed, with good facilities. Unfortunately the shower was only producing look warm water at maximum temperature. Breakfast was nice but service was poor due to low staff, just two young waitresses, who did their best but wereclearly struggling.

Avoid. Plenty of decent places in Chester.
Terrible experience. Had to keep asking reception for bar service. The room was tired and the bathroom was mouldy. Breakfast was appalling, cold plates, cold food, just horrible. Fruit choice was an apple. Waited 10 mins to check out like others. Was told then by restaurant staff to leave card on the counter. Stayed in many hotels this past year with work and travel and I can safely say this place doesn’t deserve anybody’s business.

Could be so much better
We reported the sink plug stuck. We were asked if we wanted it reporting to maintenance, obviously yes! It wasnt fixed. We noticed a lot of cobwebs on the stairs walls skirting boards dusty etc. The bathroom had mold around bath, mirror & the soap holder werent clean. Tissue and both washes (sink & shower) were empty. Staff on reception could do with being abit more friendly. Small changes could make this hotel a 5* also the bed was 2 singles pushed together 😫

Has gone done so quickly under the new management
Booked a double room and was allocated to a single room the size of a cupboard, mearly 9sqm... no customer service and no interest shown in resolving the problem. Management not showing up and didn't care. Breakfast buffet was so poor that past 9.15 on a sunday moring there was nothing left on hot food.

The positives & negatives of McDonald Hotel - Ches
The bed was extremely comfortable and the night shift staff were attentive and they provided great service. The room was slighly cold. Shower water was honestly freezing. The sink was totally blocked. The side of the bath was broken & sharp and caused me hurting my leg. Breakfast was booked for a certain slot yet there was only 3 vegetarian cooked items left! I actually paid for 2 breakfasts when I booked, but there were not enough for one.. NO-ONE were cleaning as other guests have left. A rag & antibacterial was left on a table for the duration of my breakfast and my salt shaker was terribly dirty with old sauce on it. It was very poor.

Past your best McDonald Blossom.
Oh dear McDonalds Blossom Hotels. It feels like you are about to shut down what a disappointing weekend break we had with you. During our stay I was invited to book in to the restaurant, when we asked about it we were told it’s been closed since 2019. We paid hard earn money for a poor experience. Where to start The hotel reception area smells of drains and is very unpleasant. The staff tried to be attentive. Our room 109 was a good size with a comfy bed. The bathroom however had lots of black mould on the tile grout the shower fitting is just hanging on the wall by its pipes the bath plug take an age to drain away, the shower door is ineffective and let water seep all over the floor, the extract fan don’t work. We did not get our room serviced even when we left the door sign on asking for service. Weekend breakfast is not worth your money. The food was not ready when guests arrived and after 25 minutes some left only having a bit of toast. It was really bad cheap sweet bread, mediocre coffee in a flask the condiments when available were in bowls that looked like they hadn’t been washed for days just refilled on top. Not appealing at all. The serving plates had seen better days. And not a single pasty available on Sunday morning. Other guest were seen shaking theirs heads in disappointment. Guest having to ask for food items to be refilled. It is fair to say we will not be staying again. Great location though.

okay place.
dated furniture. needs to upgrade carpets and curtains. dust in room . creaky flooring. pretty quiet place. bar needs to stock up and a re furb quite dear. bedding clean bed quite comfy. hairs on bathroom floor. shower was okay quite powerful. breakfast wasn't the best coffee was awful no white sugar available. staff were nice though.
