We always look forward to staying at this hotel due to its proximity to the university and downtown amenities. However, this time, I noticed that the facilities were in rough shape. We stayed on the third floor, where there was a broken pipe, causing water to leak from the ceiling. I completely understand that these things happen, but when you're being charged almost $300 a night, you expect better upkeep.
During our two-night stay, housekeeping never came. They only showed up just as we were checking out. Additionally, we had to pay for parking this time, even though it was previously free—yet the gate remained open at all times.
On a positive note, our check-in experience was pleasant, and the staff was very welcoming. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay did not match that level of hospitality.
