Coron

Coron is ranked among the best scuba diving destinations in the world and has beautiful white-sand beaches you can enjoy between dips in the clear coastal seas. The Coron municipality is made up of half of Busuanga Island, Coron Island itself and about 50 smaller islands. The result is a landscape of sheer cliffs rising out of flat seas, sheltering hidden coves and lagoons.

The main draw of the Coron area is definitely the diving, and particularly the collection of World War II shipwrecks. There are also some beautiful freshwater lakes and lagoons to explore – little oases of calm in this already very peaceful part of the Philippines.
