My stay at Residence Inn by Marriott in Weehawken was quite disappointing. Firstly, the view they advertised on their website was misleading. The structure is built diagonally to the view, not offering the extensive view they promised, and yet they charged a premium for it.
Furthermore, the facilities they claimed to have, such as free bike rentals and a grill, were nowhere to be found. It's frustrating when you choose a place based on amenities, only to discover they don't actually offer them.
The breakfast was a letdown as well, with everything served in plastic, which not only felt wasteful but also lacked the quality you'd expect. To top it off, when we arrived, our room was not prepared for three guests as we had booked, and the excuse we got was that "housekeeping was gone." However, a minute later, we encountered housekeeping staff on our floor, which left us feeling misled and frustrated with the service. This experience fell far short of the Marriott brand's standards.
