Ovepriced with disappointments.
It pains me to write such a bad review because the staff at Tirolerhof is really kind and does his best to make your stay comfortable. Early check in, late check out were not the problem.
Truth is: the hotel is old and need refurbishment (see pictures). Ventilation in the bathrooms is very loud and noisy. I booked a room with half board. Dinner was served in a over crowded restaurant with screaming infants and no hair conditioning. It was really HOT. Sweating waiters suffering from an under-staffed rota tried their best. Food was ordinary. The main course consisted of a very thin slice of badly cooked beef. It wasn't tender. It wasn't tasty. Being located on floor minus one the SPA is quite claustrophobic and, in my opinion, pretty kitsch (fake flowers are abundant). If you want to have a sauna before 3pm it is impossible. The Spa is closed until late afternoon. Considered the very expensive rate I paid I was expecting much more.
The breakfast is good but nothing to write home about. Hot water for the tea comes out of a tap and you have to help yoursulf. While eating I heard waiters discussing about very personal matters: one was lamenting that the chef accused her to have stolen cutleries, another was in grief for the sudden death of a friend who passed the night before.
Not the ideal way to start the day,
Having said so I really much appreciated everyone's kindness. But someties kindness is not enogh....
