Pupi and Emilio are hosts from a dream. They opened their casa unreservedly and welcomed me into their home with genuine heart-felt warmth.
The casa is on 2F with an easy climb of some stairs. The building is one block away from the main road which is a real blessing. The small and tastefully decorated casa has two rooms, one for the hosts and one for the guests. My room and the ensuite bathroom are spotless and comfortable. There is a wall fan, fridge (stocked with water, soda, beer at extra cost), air conditioner and a window which provides ample natural light and ventilation. In the common living room, there is a small balcony where one can relax in a rocking chair and watch the neighbors and different animals (chickens, dogs, goats, mules, horses) going about their own business. In this small town, everyone seems to know everyone, so easy conversations and greetings can be observed everywhere.
Pupi has been living in this building for over 35 years and knows everything that goes on in this area. She gave me great advices and helped arrange my taxi collectivo to Trinidad. She also prepares delicious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at additional costs and always tries to vary the menu. In addition to the breakfasts, for the three other meals I had there was chicken, pork and even a lobster!
