I liked my spacious room. I liked the view from my room. It was very noisy… Especially Thursday through Sunday. I tried to get breakfast on one morning. They were supposed to open at 7:30 AM. I was unable to get a cup of coffee at that time and it was close to 8 AM before they had breakfast ready. Due to time constraints, I left before I was able to have breakfast.

I was charged more than Expedia promised. My room was overlooking a very busy street and three of the eight nights incredibly loud music from a club blared into my room until 3 am. The staff was mostly friendly but Spanish is a necessity. I loved the room, bed was very comfortable, and the deck overlooking the Rio Tomabamba was my favorite place in the City.

I liked the breakfast and the hotel is in an area of bars, karaoke bars, discos impossible to rest, only one day they cleaned the room, every time you walked the floor sounded... I asked for a room change but it was not possible...

Habitaciones sin ventilación externa
La habitación que nos asignaron no tenia ventilación, la ventana era interna hacia un corredor, si eso se especificaba en la reserva, no la hubiera adquirido. El ventilador del baño tampoco funcionaba. El personal amable, pero no pudo solucionar mi pedido de cambio de habitación. Todo esto contrasta con lo agradable que es el desayuno en el rooftop con vista al río. El edificio es muy antiguo, se escucha a las personas caminar y hablar en las habitaciones contiguas y superiores. El último día una cucaracha apareció en el baño.

Todo empezó con la reserva al llegar al sitio era algo distinto a lo que me esperaba, una habitación con baño compartido por cuanto debí pagar un extra por tener un baño privado, se suponía que mi habitación sería con vista al rio pero eso tampoco fue así, al día siguiente por la mañana me pedían que abandone la habitación por cuanto “la reserva se cumplía” después de exponer y evidenciar que mi reserva era por días salimos a caminar para pasar el mal rato y como si fuera poco al regreso la habitación no le habían hecho el aseo. Es paradójico pensar que el sitio donde llegas a “descansar” cause tantas malestares juntos.

El personal es muy amable y están muy abiertos en lo que necesites. El hotel está muy bien ubicado para llegar a todos los lugares turísticos caminando, y la zona se siente segura. Además, en las noches, hay movimiento porque hay restaurantes cerca.
En la parte negativa, se siente que falta renovar muchas cosas del hotel, como la alfombra que lleva al restaurante que está vieja, o el baño de la habitación que está anticuado y mal mantenido. Además, la habitación no se parece ni de cerca a la que ponen en las fotos.
