Learn more about Mammoth Lakes

Beneath the shadow of a dormant volcano, alpine lakes mirror pine-studded mountains where black bears occasionally wander through town as if checking their investments. In winter, world-class powder blankets Mammoth Mountain's slopes, while summer reveals hiking trails that wind past wildflower meadows to hidden waterfalls. Take the Village Gondola for panoramic views without breaking a sweat. The eerie tufa towers of Mono Lake rise like ancient sculptures from mineral-rich waters. After skiing or mountain biking, soak aching muscles in natural hot springs scattered throughout the valley. Sierra Star Golf Course offers high-altitude drives where thin air adds distance to every shot. Fish for rainbow trout in Lake Mary, then watch the alpenglow paint the mountains at sunset.

"Really great stay actually, my room had a very well working heater, smart tv, hot water! The staff were beyond helpful and inviting to talk too with daily unsolicited Good morning greetings. In the lobby you are offered free hot drinks and even cold/flu medicine. Beds are actually comfortable. Perfectly centered in the middle of town extremely close to local shops, and food, Vons is about a 2 min walk away. They have a very clean and cool looking spa area so if your like me and just got done mountaineering it’s a great place to unwind and relax your muscles. There is a really cool area to hang out and shoot some pool if you just need some time to kill. The inn is rather very quiet and never once had any issues with other loud residents. Overall a really great stay. This will definitely be my go to for staying in mammoth from this point forward!"

6/10 Okay
"Room had crumbs on the seating area, long dark hairs on the ground in the water closet and dirty underwear left under a bed. Staff came to get it (unprepared and had to ask for tissue to pick up the undergarments) but did nothing else to ensure the room was up to standard. We asked for 1.5-2 hrs of late checkout on a Tuesday in March and hoped they would accommodate given the underwear issue but the staff didn’t put 2 and 2 together. Other higher end properties would have. Restaurant is solid. Breakfast has good variety and dining staff was attentive. Salad portion was great and the burger was very good. So nice to have dinner without leaving the property after a long day on the slopes. Great kid area next to the restaurant so kids can play while adults eat! Short walk to the gondola with access to the canyon lodge. Ski locker available for use was great! Valet staff was very helpful with ski gear and check-in & check-out. They were also very friendly "
