I’m not entirely sure how this property can be classified as a 4 star hotel, because the acoustics standards does not live up to what I’ve experienced in other 4 star hotels. The windows are double glazed and largely block out external/street noise, but internal noise insulation is extremely poor. Unless your neighbours intentionally take the care to close their door quietly, you will hear and feel the vibrations of the door closing. Unless you’re able to get a room on the top floor, you will also likely hear the guests upstairs moving their chair (it basically scrapes against the floor), things dropping, various thuds and bangs, etc. I had asked to be placed on a high floor away from the elevator, and while they acknowledged my request, placed me directly across from the elevator. The neighbourhood is also extremely smelly (likely bc it sits at a lower altitude with old infrastructure which are overloaded by the number of people). If you value a quiet and pristine environment, I would not recommend this hotel.
