Horrible customer service!
We never were able to stay here, we booked but when arrived were told they were full and had no room for us. Hotels.com was great and helped us find a room at a partner hotel. However, the person at expressotel was rude and refused to help, telling us "we needed to go talk to their sister hotel for a room". When hotels.com tried to call, she refused to answer the phone as the lobby closed at 6pm. This conversation happened at 530pm when we arrived. By 540 she was packing her things, still refusing to help us figure it out. She left and closed the lobby at 545pm, turning out the lights, locking the front door, and walking out. Leaving us in the lobby so we had wifi to figure it out with hotels.com. The overall process to get another hotel took 1.5hours when she could have simply answered the phone when hotels.com reached out, instead treated us as it was our fault that the last room we booked was not available. Again, this review is not about hotels.com, but about the atrocious service provided by expressotel. We had a wonderful trip to New Zealand, everyone, and I mean everyone in the Country was great, except for this ONE individual who couldn't be bothered to do her job, or stay doing her job until it was time to close. Instead, she decided to leave her job early, and leave a customer to deal with the problem. Unbelievable.
