I was so disappointed with this booking/hotel. At no point during our stay did we have a 5* experience.
We arrived at 7pm after a day of hiking and exploring the island. We were told it was too late to book any of the restaurants. I asked why we weren't notified that we had to book one in advance and was told you can only book a restaurant reservation after checking in. Again, this information wasn't provided in advance so I had no way of knowing.
At just 7pm, all the pools were already closed. I asked about an indoor pool and was told it's an extra fee as it's part of the spa. Even though all the other pools were already closed, it wasn't offered to me; and it wouldn't have mattered as it closed at 8pm.
Our room was supposed to be Garden View but we stared directly at another building and a road. There was no garden and no view at all. Literally, a wall is what we saw from our room and balcony.
There were no bathrobes in our room and when I called to ask for some the staff said they are only available in certain rooms.
We had to eat at the buffet as it was the only option. It was horrible. I really couldn't believe the options for a 5* hotel. The pasta was noodles and sauces sitting out in bowls, cold, to make yourself. Usually, they'll have someone behind the counter to give it a toss and heat it up, add some veggies, etc. Nothing. Just old noodles and cold sauce. The pizza was also sitting out, cold and old. The vegetarian options were also lacking.
