The location is excellent and right in the heart of the city. Unfortunately, the accommodation itself did not meet my expectations. I rented a standard room , so my expectations were based on what is normally provided in a standard hotel room at the simular price point.
The room was extremely basic and lacked amenities that are common even in budget hotels, including a small fridge, a chair, a table, an iron, and several other basic conveniences that travellers would normally expect from a standard hotel room. Some surfaces were not properly cleaned upon arrival, and even daily housekeeping was not included.
The building has long, steep stairs and no lift, which may be difficult for guests with mobility issues or heavy bags.
There are a few common areas, but they are empty and not furnished as social spaces. The property feels unfinished rather than minimalist. The empty common areas create no atmosphere and make the whole place feel impersonal and unwelcoming.
To make matters worse, the shower door detached and fell off during my stay. Fortunately, I was not injured, but this should never happen in accommodation that charges these rates. It raised serious concerns about maintenance and guest safety.
Communication with the hosts was also disappointing, as I did not feel that guest comfort was a priority. The overall impression is that guest comfort has been sacrificed in order to minimize costs and maximize profit.
