I stayed here for a work trip and came away genuinely pleased, especially given the price point. It does exactly what a Premier Inn should do — comfortable, no-fuss, and reliable.
Breakfast was included in my stay and delivered on all fronts — everything you'd want to set yourself up for a busy day. No complaints there whatsoever.
The room itself was a pleasant surprise — quite spacious and remarkably quiet, which is exactly what you need after a long day of meetings. Sleep quality was excellent.
That said, the rooms are showing their age a little. Nothing dramatic, but a fresh coat of paint and a light refresh would go a long way. It's the kind of update that wouldn't cost the earth but would make a real difference to the overall feel.
The one frustration worth flagging is around dinner. If you haven't pre-booked the restaurant, don't be surprised to be turned away — even when tables are visibly free. To be clear, this is entirely a management issue around staffing levels, not a reflection on the waiting staff themselves, who were perfectly pleasant. A bit of forward planning on the operational side would easily fix this.
All things considered though, for the price, this is a very good option. Comfortable room, included breakfast, and a convenient location. I'd recommend it for anyone visiting Guildford for work.
