Positives: -felt very safe -property is beautiful -was not crowded/no issue getting chairs at all pools -bed was very comfortable -view from room (5th floor King beachfront-you could hear the ocean waves from the bed) -location -affordable -drinks were good -nondairy powder creamer and almond and coconut milk available for coffee (hot only no iced coffee) Negatives: -food was awful (worst at any all-inclusive I have stayed at)/only had one good meal (Italian restaurant-that you couldn't just walk into you had to make a reservation ahead of time even if it was empty)/dessert was such a disappointment (during 4 night stay I only had one redeeming item-flan)/snack bar was decent (saved us on 2 different occasions)/after 4 night stay only had few items that were ok at buffet (chicken and pork tacos were the highlight) -called for room service one night-was never delivered-when I called they said "omg sorry so busy we won’t get to you" -shower drain clogged entire trip/shower never got hot -toilet leaking -no hand towels -bath mat taken 2 days in and never replaced -had difficulty communicating with most staff (most were friendly) -resort was undergoing construction in several areas (which is why we upgraded to beachfront) I would not stay here again and I cannot recommend.

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 15 years. I still love the location and the beauty of the hotel but It was recently bought by another company, and now it is also part timeshare. The hotel is beautiful, the food is still very good, but the service is much different. It’s not as friendly and personable as it once was. The other change is because of the timeshare option now, there are segregated portions of the hotel that you no longer have access to because it’s for the members only. It feels very cold and elitist. Still a beautiful hotel, just not the same experience as it has been for so many years. I will be looking for a new place to stay in San Jose Del Cabo.

Our 10 day stay here was amazing......the staff were all fantastic especially the pool bar staff Randell Zaryl Sam and Avi. Food was plentiful and great choices....our favorite restaurant was the Italian. Rooms were always clean and house keeping staff friendly and helpful. Only problem we had was the night manager who was extremely rude and mean to us - 2 senior ladies - when we asked for some help......he needs some manners.

the management has serious problems. 1) For 2 evenings there was no hot water. Warm but not warm enough for a comfortable shower. 2) housekeeping left us only 1 towel and two face clothes even after I tipped the cleaner! We had to wait for towels before we could shower. 3) Restaurant service is incredibly slow. 4) Food varies from good to poor, with the majoring being poor. 5) Bed is very firm memory foam, not good for side sleepers like me. I woke several times each night in pain. 5) Listen to the negative reviews. They speak the truth. If you go here, you take your chances.

This was a beautiful resort and clean. We had such a fun time! Now for the negatives: the food is horrible. Breakfast was decent and the ala cart restaurants were ok. The Mexican restaurant was by far the best. If you have dietary restrictions, this would not be a good choice. The daily activities were ONLY listed on their website so you will need to download the app if you want to know what’s going on day or night. Lastly, front check in / check out team was hit or miss. Hugo from this team should not be in customer service. We would probably not return to this resort.

Your dinner's were awful. Lunch was below average. Breakfast was very good. We stayed there when it was the Grand Faro and the food was all around outstanding which is why we rebooked this time. Not sure we will stay here again

Las instalaciones, en general, estan bien. Todo en buen estado y limpio. La comida de los restaurants generales no es excelente, pero esta bien. En los restaurants con reservación la comida es de mejor calidad, pero siento que la cantidad esta muy medida. El servicio de la agencia para reservar los tours es regular. El personal es atento, pero en recepción podrian mejorar.

This is a lovely hotel with good amenities. We'd definitely stay here again. The staff are excellent, especially the housekeeping folks, and the place is very well maintained. The only down sides were that 2 of 3 elevators in our building were out of service, and the food at the buffets was almost always lukewarm at best. The 3 fine dining restaurants were all very good. The town of San Jose del Cabo is about ½ hour walk away on good sidewalks, and it's a very interesting town to walk around. There's a good coffee shop about a block from the hotel too, if you want decaf or something special that's not available onsite. The ocean has big waves, so it's not really swimmable, but we did see whales almost every day we were there!

The maintenance was poor, the elevator was broken for 5 days out of the seven days we stayed. The sink was in bad shape and the balcony door’s lock was broken. The staff service was excellent

We really enjoyed our time here. It was obvious that they were not finished with their upgrades, but that was ok. Overall the food was good. We could always find something to eat. Pools were great! Bar service needed some more workers for sure but I’m sure they are trying. Maybe add some more chairs-they were hard to come by-but we will definitely go back.

Staff and service were above average. I dont usually reference certain individuals in reviews, but Randall in the area around the pool and on the beach was THE best waiter we have ever had. We were a group of 8 and our drink order was constantly changing but he never got it wrong and always had a smile on his face and seemed truly happy to be of service to us even though I know we can be a tricky group. We were there 5 days and after we met him on the second day he never failed to wave, say "hi" or smile in recognition whenever he saw us. Randall along with the rest of the wait staff and housekeeping were fantastic!! Rooms were just OK. We had a superior oceanfront room and the view was great. Overall, the furnishings and bathrooms could use a little updating, nothing serious, just updating. Beds were above average in comfort in my opinion. Food was very average. Certainly not going to go hungry, but also nothing I couldnt wait to have again. Breakfast buffet was pretty good but dinner buffet was lacking, only ate it once. Mexican restaurant was a 6 while Italian was a 7 IMO. Didnt eat at the sushi restaurant but friends did and they said it was above average. Drinks were not great. I think they would benefit in having a class or training so the drinks are made the same every time. Ordered a variety of drinks and very rarely would it be made the same way. On the downside, we had an issue with our reservation, certainly not the end of the world.
