It is a beautiful old building in an incredible location right over the road from the castle, the staff were wonderful; helpful, polite and professional, I had a standard room which was actually huge! The bed was very comfortable and clean, it is a very short walk away from loads of lovely cafes and is next door to the Ivy. I would absolutely stay here again

Hotel location is excellent and no noise disturbance at night. Check in was fast and friendly. Room was very tired and stifling hot even with the air con unit. Bathroom was clean but very worn and in desperate need of a refurb. Well equipped room. Common areas were worn and also in need of an urgent refurb. Didnt eat at hotel due to other commitments

I liked the hotel; however, it doesn't include breakfast, so there's a regular coffee shop in the room. Nevertheless, there are restaurants and cafes near the hotel, which was also good and didn't pose a problem. We loved the experience of staying at the hotel opposite Windsor Castle.

The hotel is not what it once was the rooms are clearly dated and coming due a refresh as things were clearly in disrepair one example of this was the shower mixer was broken serving up a scalding hot shower. Although the Ivy restaurant is downstairs and the breakfast used to be served there now you get a paper bag breakfast literally a brown bag with some food items that you can scurry back to your room with so don’t make the mistake of paying extra for this. My recommendation to anyone would be to book one of the other real hotels near by.

Location to the Castle excellent. Looked lovely from outside. Very noisy at night from revellers from the local pubs and as no air conditioning we had to have the windows open. Hardly slept because of outside noise. Room was very basic - double bed small. Bedroom and Bathroom needed updating. Bedding and towels clean though. No breakfast available. Would not stay again.

The hotel was lovely and clean, The 1 staff member I encountered was very helpful. My main issue with this hotel was 2 single beds pushed together to make a double. Was uncomfortable! Although the room was nice and clean it looked like it had been decorated by toddlers. Absolute bodge job of the paint work.

This a poorly maintained hotel. The shower did not work properly and the shower door was broken. The lift did nit work properly. The roon was over heated because the radiator had been left on in a heat wave. There was no bottled water available. The reception did nit answer calls. Would not stay again

Room was clean and a fantastic location and view. The tub was leaking and we could have turn off the trickle of cold water that was coming out so it made for a tough sleep. We unfortunately had a couple one door over fighting pretty loud for quite some time and we ended up telling the front desk and leaving doe a while.

The hotel is located conveniently to walk to Windsor Castle and surrounding shops and diners. But it also makes it noisy at night. The hotel is a beautiful building, but needs renovating in the bathrooms and other areas of the building. More cleaning needed as well. That said, price is cheaper than other hotels in the area.
