Unfortunately we had a disappointing stay at Click Riad for the following reasons:
- Although my partner speaks some French, we experienced a major language barrier with all staff at the riad as none of them had a basic level of English communication skills
- As we were going expecting to be arriving at the riad at about 9:00pm, we contacted the riad several days in advance to arrange a meal to be prepared for us on arrival, which we confirmed via email. When we arrived at the riad after a long day of travelling, we were informed that a meal wasn't possible that evening, which was really frustrating. They apologised and offered to move our meal to a different evening, but we had already made plans. We eventually settled on some snacks as an apology for the inconvenience.
- Although we were shown to the room we had booked when we arrived, we were then moved to a cheaper room as it was supposedly quieter than the more premium room that we had booked. We complained and then were moved to our original room.
- Although our room was lovely, the mattress was very hard and the bathroom light is turned on via a motion sensor, which isn't ideal in the middle of the night.
- The riad doesn't really have much of an atmosphere during the day or evening.
- When we tipped the owner as we were leaving the riad, he rudely snatch the tip without saying thank you or good bye.
We wanted to enjoy our experience at Click Riad, but as there are so many options in Marrakesh, we won't be returning
