The free airport transfer is a useful service provided if at least 3 nights are booked. However, the service is not available after 8.30pm.
Having a flight scheduled to arrive 8.15pm, I wrote the hostel to ask if I would be able to get this free transfer. The answer was that I had to call them as soon as I got the luggage and they will verify if the company which actually performs the transfer is still operative.
Landed 10 minutes earlier than scheduled, got the luggage quite fast, at 8.15 / 8.20pm I was already calling the hostel, sure that I would be able to get the transfer.
Guess what... nobody picked up the phone! I tried several times in the next 10/15 minutes, calling both the free number and the international one... nobody picked up the phone!
And again, guess what... 2 minuted after 8.30pm, finally somebody answered; I asked for the transfer and of course they told that the service was not operative, being 8.30pm already passed. So, i had to manage with the transfer myself.
This was not really a fair thing from the hostel staff and really not a good way to start my stay in Sidney.
