We booked 2 nights. We then tried to alter that reservation but the hotel said we couldn't bc it was booked through a third party. When we checked in, we confirmed with the concierge/clerk that it was a 2 night stay. So we continued on as planned. However, in the middle of the conference we were leading, the hotel contacted us and told us we needed to vacate the room as we had only booked it for one night. When I explained the situation, the Marriot employee wasn't making sense. She said "sorry- we are sold out so you either need to come get your stuff or pay us to stay an additional night." I didn't understand how we could pay for an additional night if they were sold out. When I called her on the fact that this was a problem of their own doing, she insisted I come get my stuff. So my wife left our conference and returned/ gathered our stuff in order not to make a fuss. But we paid for 2 nights and only received 1. This was just narrow-minded leadership and poor customer service.
